What is SKE?
Syntasso Kratix Enterprise (SKE) is the supported enterprise distribution of Kratix. It extends open-source Kratix with:
- Enterprise-grade, business-hours support.
- Secure software base images and software supply chain validation.
- Long-lived, at-scale soak testing.
- An Operator to install, configure and upgrade your platform.
- Tools to test Promise pipelines and manage Promise upgrades.
- Resource health checks and a GUI to view your platform.
- Supported integrations with Backstage, Cortex, Terraform Enterprise and HCP Terraform.

Install SKE
Start with prerequisites, then install SKE with the Operator. There are separate guides for air-gapped environments and migration from open-source Kratix.
Operate your platform
Use the guides for upgrades, backup and restore, health checks and the GUI. For diagnostic checks, see Troubleshoot SKE.
Build and evolve Promises
- Build and test a database Promise.
- Test Promise pipelines.
- Create a Promise from a Terraform module.
- Schedule resources to Terraform workspaces.
- Roll out Promise upgrades.
Integrate developer interfaces and tools
Choose a developer portal in Portal integrations. Backstage and Cortex use the shared Portal Controller; Port uses its own controller. For infrastructure tooling, see Terraform Enterprise and HCP Terraform.
Port, MCP Server and SKE Lift are Preview features. Review the Preview support policy before adopting them.
Look up APIs, releases and support
The API and CLI index links to canonical definitions. Check releases and component compatibility before upgrading. Your support policy defines support channels and service levels.
